My husband Victor and I (yes, Victor & Victoria, I know.) visited the San Diego Zoo yesterday. We were especially excited to see the Giant Panda exhibit that just opened this summer! Pandas are my fave and I just had to see them before they get shipped back to China. The Polar bear exhibit was extraordinary as well. And, of course, the amazing Gorillas are breathtaking. Although I must say, we always get a gut-wrenching feeling when we see them caged up like that. They are so much like humans that I can't begin to imagine being ripped away from my own home and placed in a foreign, controlled environment. The guys over at the SD Zoo have a great conservation program that works hard to reproduce and release endangered species back into their natural habitat. Here are a few shots from our visit:
