If you've been following my blog for some time now, then you're well acquainted with the Schafer family! You'd know them from their adoption announcement photos, their family sessions and, most recently, maternity photos (this one).

di Donato-Mora Family | Orange County Family Photography

I had the pleasure of photographing the di Donato-Mora family for their holiday card a couple of months ago. Ana is an event coordinator and owner of Dream Events Wedding Planning. You may have seen her company's work on a few of our posts from weddings we've worked on together. It was such a pleasure to get her and her beautiful family on this side of the camera for once. We had such a fun time. I love it when parents not only let kids be kids, but actually join in on the silliness! They are so up my alley because, if you've worked with me you'll know, I'm just a big goofball with a camera! We laughed and played and ended our evening exchanging stories over burgers. This was an evening for the books.  Take a peek!

Orizaba Family | San Juan Capistrano Family Photography

Absolutely adored the Orizaba family! Little Victoria is so cute and loving and full of curiosity. She loves nature and is smitten with flowers. This beautiful family rocked their session in San Juan Capistrano. I loved the black on black wardrobe and the pop of red on mom. Tres chic! Check it out:

Jasmine + Eliana | Orange County Family Photography

Check out this super cute Mommy & Me/Lifestyle session with Jasmine and Eliana. I love lifestyle family sessions because I get to capture people just having fun and being who they are. It's not always about looking into a camera and saying "cheese". Sometimes it's the little moments capturing people's dynamic that mean the most to them.

Eliana was a little shy at first and eventually let us all in on the fact that she absolutely detests taking photos. So much, in fact, that I had to be a little sneaky and prey on her from afar. Kids are so smart, they know what's going on even when we try to trick them. But no one can escape this crazy photographer on a mission! Sometimes the best way to reason with children is to just ignore them and act like you are photographing flowers or picking lemons, LOL. It confuses them long enough to grab a few shots, but you have to be quick! ;) I love my job!

Lily + Sophia | Mommy and Me, Downtown Los Angeles Photography

I'm finally getting a chance to sit down and blog our sessions from last year's holiday season! We are so thankful to all of our clients for a smooth and busy season, we pretty much just shot and edited non-stop! Now it's time to show off our gorgeous clients and everything we've been up to!

Liliana and Sophia have a very special place in my heart. I've known Lily since we were practically kids and have been photographing Sophia since she was in her mommy's womb! Every year we have a special date in the fall to capture their bond, have some fun and document how big Sophia is getting! This year we shot the dynamic duo in Downtown Los Angeles. We had a fabulous time playing dress-up, three looks to be exact, because my little divas need options! ;) This session was in early October, hence the Halloween costume! These two are way too fabulous.

Lau Family | Orange County Family Photography

We had such an amaaaazing time photographing this Orange County extended family session! The Lau family is so full of all things goodness! Every time we meet a new family and I get the sense that the patriarch is harass-able, I know it's going to be a good day. Such was the case for Mr. Lau, whom immediately smelled like trouble! The good kind of trouble! He is so cool and hip and his smile lit up my camera. Mama Lau is sweet as pie, head-over-heels in love with her tribe. The kids in this family are each so fabulous in their own ways. I was excited to find out that Rosie came out from San Francisco and Christina made the trip out here from Hong Kong, just for this special session! They are also all eagerly waiting on the newest member of the clan to make his grand entrance very soon. I feel honored and humbled that they would choose us to be the ones to document the wonderful dynamic that makes up this beautiful family. These are moments people never forget. I am so proud to be able to provide such memories. When times get tough and life throws us curve balls, these are the moments we remember and hold on to. <3
