Cari + Kyle | Married!

You may remember Cari and Kyle from their adorbs engagement session in Old Town Orange (this one). Well I had the pleasure of documenting their wedding in July and I have to say, it was one of the sweetest, most emotionally charged weddings I have shot thus far. I had a hard time keeping it together!

Before the ceremony, Kyle pulled me aside and informed me that he was going to be reading vows not only to Cari, but to their 3 daughters as well. It was top secret, no one else knew about it. He was going to read them the vows and present each of them with an engraved necklace. It was the coolest feeling not only to be in on the secret, but to be able to prepare for the special moment. During the ceremony, it was hard to find a dry eye among the guests. Especially when Kyle read his vows to Cari and the girls, promising them to be there for them forever. And later when the whole family took part in the mixing of sand, it was literally one of the most touching moments in wedding history!

Everything about this wedding was personalized and detail-oriented. Cari's childhood friend, Brady, officiated the ceremony. Her two other best friends and her eldest daughter were the bridesmaids. She wore a beautiful lace dress with her grandmother's cameo brooch on her sash. Her headpiece and the soft color scheme gave a vintage air. Their first dance was perfectly choreographed á la Dancing With The Stars, which turned out amazing. And to top it all off, Cari, who is a pastry chef, made her own wedding cake! Everything was so perfectly personal and sweet. I especially enjoyed photographing their "first look",  in which the bride and groom see each other before the ceremony to have a moment to themselves, and I get to capture it all on camera. It was simply, a wonderful day. Take a look...
