Brenda + Felipe | Queen Mary Wedding Photography

Brenda and Felipe tied the knot in early December. They had their ceremony on The Queen Mary in Long Beach and did a First Look shortly before. I really like when couples opt for a First Look because it gives us extra time to do formal portraits and really spend time with the couple. It was nice not to feel rushed and I felt like they they were at ease just "hanging out" with each other. It was such a nice steady flow and I think they really enjoyed their day! It also helps to have a good event planner to take the stress off of everyone's hands.

One of my favorite moments of their wedding was during the toast part of the reception. Brenda's father has been ill for some time and really had a rough year. When it came time to do his speech, they wanted to take the mic over to his table so that he could speak from where he was sitting. Well he refused. He said he wanted to stand next to his daughter. With baby steps and a lot of effort, he made his way up to the center of the dance floor and delivered his perfect speech. Heartfelt and with great comedic timing, this wonderful man gave it all he had for his girl. It gave me chills. I'm pretty sure it gave everyone chills. Nothing in the world could stop this father from being by his daughter's side. Nothing. That, my friends, is a dad.

Mushy stuff aside, these two had one awesome party! I love it when the guests and bridal party really enjoy themselves and kill the dance floor! These are some of my favorite dancing shots to date! The bridesmaids sure know how to have a good time! I thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with the whole group.
